Maria J. Garcia

Maria J. Garcia received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida in 2003.

Prior to graduating, Ms. Garcia served four years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Upon graduation, Ms. Garcia attended the Army Officer Candidate School in Ft. McClellan, AL, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. She recently completed a three and half year active duty tour with the Army National Guard as a Logistics Officer, where she assisted in Hurricane Operations during seasons 2004 and 2005. She now serves as a traditional Guardsman for the Florida Army National Guard. In 2006, Ms. Garcia joined Austin, Bovay & Gillman, P.A. as a professional tax consultant.

Ms. Garcia's previous work experience includes several years in public accounting where she primarily focused on tax processing and individual income tax returns. As an Army Logistics Officer, Ms. Garcia was accountable for $1.2 million of property and managed an operational and payroll budget for Camp Blanding Joint Training Center.
