Keith C. Austin

Keith C. Austin graduated with his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1957. He received his LL.B. in 1952 (converted to a Juris Doctorate in 1967) and his LL.M. in taxation in 1979 from the University of Florida College of Law. This program is generally considered one of the top two such tax law programs in the country.

Aside from founding our firm, Mr. Austin has many notable accomplishments. Mr. Austin not only taught accounting and business law at the University of Florida, but also was one of the four individuals that spearheaded the establishment of the School of Accounting. Furthermore, he served in two branches of the military; as a U.S. Army Sergeant and as a U.S. Naval Lieutenant. In addition, Mr. Austin served as Chairman of the Board for the Gainesville branches of Florida National Bank, First Union and Wachovia.

Mr. Austin has a long history of philanthropic service. He is a founding member and the original treasurer of the Greater Gainesville Rotary. Mr. Austin also served on the boards of the Gainesville Housing Authority, the Board of Overseers for Shands Hospital and Gainesville Golf & Country Club.
